Escape From Alcatraz
Coming back for its 43rd year, the highly coveted Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon and Aquathlon will take over the waters and streets of San Francisco, June 8-9, 2024. Watch Olympians, world champions, and a diverse array of athletes compete in harrowing conditions throughout historic San Francisco locations.
Downtown First Thursdays
DFT is a free monthly street party hosted in Downtown San Francisco, taking place every first Thursday of the month from 5 to 10 p.m. Get ready for disco in the streets, DJs, live music, drag, martial arts, fashion, street performances, and many other surprises! The fun takes place on Second Street (between Market and Howard streets) and along neighboring alleyways ready for you to explore. The event will also feature two 21+ outdoor bars on Minna and Natoma.
Drag Me Downtown
Back by popular demand, Drag Me Downtown is back for its second fabulous year! To celebrate Pride, Downtown San Francisco is hosting fierce pop-up drag shows at various businesses every Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. throughout June. Head downtown for unforgettable performances and vibrant celebrations all month long! This month-long series of events is FREE!
Union Street Music Festival

The Festa Coloniale Italiana is a free, fun, family event in the heart of North Beach. Head to Stockton Street between Union and Filbert streets on June 1 and 2 for live music, dance lessons, and even a pizza tossing demonstration! Local vendors and restaurants will be serving up their best Italian dishes, so nobody will go hungry!
Laurel Burch Mural Unveiling
Haight St. & Cole St.The Haight Street Merchants Association will be commemorating a San Francisco original: jeweler, designer, and artist Laurel Burch, whose eponymous brand is marking its 50th anniversary this year. To celebrate, a new mural of one of Laurel's works, "Heart of Womankind," will be unveiled at noon on Saturday, June 8. Live music and an art walk through the neighborhood will follow.
